![]() I wanted to throw the whole ASUS sw away. after a few hours, I went to have lunch, came back, woke up my computer and bam, only RAMs were lighted up properly. I could bathe in the beautiful blue light of my computer again. great, so I installed the lian-li sw again, set the settings to motherboard - worked like a charm. then I found the Armoury uninstaller, uninstalled the software, uninstalled the Lian-li and Trixx software, rebooted, installed armoury again - GPU lighted up. so I rebooted the pc a couple times, tried turning on and off "external device" in my Lian-li and trixx software, tried reinstalling the freaking armoury to no avail. Today when I booted up my computer, only my RAMs were responding to Armoury settings. it scans all LED supporting devices again and voila, you can play with colours again. TL:DR: go to "devices" in the left menu, select your motherboard (I have ASUS so I don't know if this is different for other motherboards), click on "addresable socket" (not sure this is the correct English term but it's the second tab from the left) and then at the upper right corner "search again" or whatever that buttons says in English. I found a simple solution for Armoury ignoring devices after I went through hell today. I think Asus just gave up trying to figure out their own software. I have made many lighting profiles in that program. You do install aura sync at some point, but you never use it. There is a forum thread started at corsair which has instructions on how to install the ICue software with Asus plugin correctly.Īt no point does it involve using Armoury Crate. when minimized it uses I think less than 2%. It also uses 15% of my shitty 750 ti graphics card, but only when it is not minimized. It uses up 3-4% of the CPU on the downside. The motherboard and ram show up in that program. That means you can use the ICue rgb software with an Asus plugin. I ended up returning my team group ram, and purchased Corsair RGB ram. I don't know if it's related, but I also updated my AMD radeon driver to 19.7.5 by downloading from the amd website and choosing "Clean Install"." I reinstalled just the lightingservice component and then rebooted, and sh.it just started working. Same at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\ (deleted the lightingservice folder) I then went to the registry to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ and deleted the LightingService subdirectory. "I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\LightingService after uninstalling the lighting service component and found a 3kb file called LastProfile.xml. To fix it I followed this post exactly and it worked perfectly! If this works for you in the future just remember to be careful because Asus aura is controlled with motherboard firmware in a windows environment so fixing it isn't as simple as just reinstalling the program if it doesn't work anymore. It turns out that aura sync accesses profiles on a chip on the motherboard and I had corrupted the file by messing around with both the aura program and the armoury crate at the same time (use one, NOT BOTH!!). Reinstalling windows did not fix it either so don't do this unless you know for sure it's a software issue! I've seen issues for this all over the place and finding a fix was difficult, but basically my motherboard aura sync control was not working at all. You can contact me if you have any questions about this thread.I was having issues with the armoury crate not working AT ALL and Asus aura program giving me a startup error too. Please note that any registry instructions at this link are an example and do not represent exact instructions for you to follow. I have a thread which explains the problems and other possible fixes but it is very advanced and time consuming. But if you have used registry cleaners or any kind of manual cleaning, you might just need to reinstall windows. Uninstalling AI Suite 3 and running the AI Suite 3 Cleaner might resolve your issue and allow Armoury Crate to install and detect your devices, yes it is worth a try. ![]() If someone can kindly provide instructions to get both applications running it would be appreciated. ![]() I've been battling this since September and I was hoping the recent update fixed it. Should I install one at a time? Both together? I've read an article that says after restart you should give it 20-30 mins before trying to boot the programs? I've recently installed AI suite 3, I was reading there's also a cleaner for this, should I try running this? I've used the cleaner for the Armory crate.ĭownloaded Armoury Crate Beta from Windows App store. I've tried repeated times to get Armory Crate and Aura installed and it just won't work for me.Īura boots up but it doesn't see any of the device or components, wont update.
